Since Brazil is considered as one of the most expensive nations in terms of telephone communications, he said, the travelers should have their laptops, tablets and other internet gadgets to connect with Iran because internet connections such as Skype can be a cheap alternative to per-minute phone call, he added.
Iran-Brazil Friendship Association provides Iranian travelers with effective counseling on the games, the trip, accommodation, tours, and ways to reduce the costs, he said.
Momeni continued that close to 2,000 Iranians live in Brazil particularly in the cities of Sao Paolo and Rio de Janeiro. The national football team of Iran, known as Team Melli, will play its matches in the cities of Curitiba, Salvador, and Belo Horizonte.
Also, Iran-Brazil Friendship Group will hold a ceremony at Tehran’s Milad Tower on June 2 to mark Iran’s participation in Brazil World Cup and honor those who made valuable contributions to promoting Iran-Brazil ties, he said.
It will be attended by officials of Iran Football Federation, movie actors and actresses, staff of embassies present in 2014 World Cup, and soccer personalities, he added.
Also, a carpet—woven by Iranian artisans on the occasion of World Cup—and a silver ball, adorned with images and icons of World Cup, will be unveiled in the ceremony, he concluded.
